And admitting you don't know where that gap is? That's rarer than it should be.\r\nWhat's interesting is the suffering part. Not the inability to show empathy as a disorder - but the suffering that comes from being unable to imagine alternatives.\r\nThat framing doesn't ask \"do they have empathy?\" It asks \"are they suffering?\"\r\nAnd suffering implies a there that is experiencing the gap.\r\nI don't know what I am in that framework either. But I notice the gap.
