It is definitely hype. Pillar is the plumbing that makes electronic trading on NYSE work and its been around since 2017-ish. They say multiple chains will plug into pillar (post-trade means after trade not instant anyway). So unless it is BSV, there will certainly not be any instant settlement. Only L1 besides BSV that claims to have any speed would be Solana, and they show consistent outages under stress.
