  "map_content": "They aren't liquified mushrooms. They are cultures of any particular type of mushroom in a 'nutrient broth'. You use the liquid culture to inoculate your grain spawn which colonizes with mycelium. Then once that's colonized completely, you mix your spawn with your substrate and that what you end up fruiting your mushrooms on. \r\n\r\nBasically, liquid cultures are a starting point for growing. Spores are also a starting point, but you need to make cultures with spores. You're skipping ahead when you get a liquid culture. I'll attach a photo of a bag of oats (animal feed) that is completely colonized with mycelium. That bag gets used to add a cup or 2 of oats per substrate block (Oak sawdust and bran). The substrate block is 'mimicking' a tree stump in a forest that is producing mushroom. Hopefully that makes sense.
