  "map_content": "Good morning treepeople!\r\nIt is said, that when someone or a few people look up, even though there is nothing, other people will stop and look up as well.\r\nOne explanation is, that we are social creatures and that due to survival in the past, we had to rely on other peoples signals.  \r\nThe typical example would be, that when someone looked up, there might have been some saber-toothed tiger above and you would have been f***ed if you didn't check.  \r\nI don't know if this is true or not, from an evolutionary and historical point of view.  \r\nBut if it is, this concept seems correlated to FOMO (fear of missing out) and our current attention whoring economy.  \r\nIt can be translated from the physical world into the virtual world.  \r\nIn previous times this concept was true and valid for the sake of survival.\r\nBut since money is involved and people can get rich, people are trying to trick you into putting your attention into scams, bullshit and extremes.  \r\nThe \"extremes\" would be a topic of their own, due to a desensitization of attention, if your attention gets triggered over and over and over again. \r\nSo the signals have to get more extreme each day, which is essentially what we have been seeing over the last years (and maybe decades).  \r\nWe are essentially living in an age which is on a search for the most extreme dopamine kick - a positive feedback loop (which in this case is mostly negative).  \r\nThe money part is not necessarily true, since you could entrap people for the sake of enslaving them even without money, but I hope you get what I mean.  \r\nThe concept isn't new.  The \"bioluminiscent angler fish\" i.e. uses fake signals for attracting and killing other fish for the sake of getting fed.\r\nThe underlying concept can be found over and over in nature.  \r\nBitcoin may help, since it introduces a cost to every signal.  \r\nAnd if the income which is being generated by the fake signal is less than the cost to send the signal it is uneconomical and the scammers can't survive longterm.  \r\nAdditionally we sometimes send signals which we do not know if they are right or wrong.  \r\nWhich would be the science part, where different ideas, concepts and theories compete against each other in an endless search for truth.  \r\nSo take those theories above with a grain of salt, I may be wrong^^.",
