For the birthday cake, he decided to get us to make a key lime meringue pie\u2026\r\nThe meringue was Italian style, where the cooked sugar is poured into the beating whites.  It\u2019s exquisite and I\u2019m almost embarrassed that I\u2019d never done it before in my 30yrs as a chef \ud83d\udc69\u200d\ud83c\udf73 LoL\r\nBut waaaayyy too sweet.   The birthday boy couldn\u2019t even finish it and Omg I made myself sick off eating this three days in a row.   \r\nWorth it though.   My biggest early memories come from when I was around his age.   The world is a very different place now but wow are we ever gonna have a blast learning how to survive it!!",
