A beautiful paradise on the west coast of Canada. I\u2019ve built a career as a chef until I was injured over a year ago and have been building a new vocation as a software engineer. I\u2019m starting school in September!!!! In my mid-fifties wish me luck. \r\n\r\nTwo things I miss deeply from my pre-injury life (and if anyone knows a lawyer specializing in labor law I want to talk about employers duty of care) that I just can\u2019t get over yet. One is rock climbing\u2026 I haven\u2019t done it in years but won\u2019t be doing it anytime soon\u2014 I\u2019ve got a friend who\u2019s itching to get out onto the crags with me but I can\u2019t. And the other is playing guitar. I can\u2019t play enough to form callouses without it causing lots of pain and that makes me really really sad. \r\n\r\nI discovered Bitcoin early on, pre-segwit, and deeply regret not figuring it out when it was at $70 a coin. I KNEW back then that it was going to be the future of the world; I just didn\u2019t have the liquidity or time/energy to get into it. Life happens right? \ud83e\udd37\u200d\u2640\ufe0f\r\n\r\nIt wasn\u2019t until 2016 that I got into crypto though\u2026 but Bitcoin was not even on my radar (ugh remember $ETN and $STEEM). That is, until 2021-ish and I started looking further into what happened with the Civil war\u2026 found Satoshi and Kurt, got introduced to Relayx and the culture there and was sold on the real Bitcoin and have been preaching that gospel to whomever would listen since. I\u2019ve probably got about twenty different self-custodial Bitcoin wallets on all the different platforms LOL!!!\r\n\r\nI\u2019m the only person in my real life that is as deep into the Bitcoin rabbit hole as me, and sometimes it\u2019s really lonely. Even the \u201ccrypto bros\u201d I know in my community have no clue or inkling about real Bitcoin. It\u2019s kinda lonely being a Bitcoin maxi\u2026 my partner and kids\u2019 eyes all gloss over and they just nod politely when I start talking about it. Sigh\u2026 lonely indeed. \r\n\r\nAnd it\u2019s weird, I guess most of you are in your late twenties early thirties? My eldest son is 21. And the crypto world does not exist for him at all\u2026. Except for that weird thing that dad does\u2026 I just figured the younger generation would be ALL OVER this stuff\u2026 considering it\u2019s magic internet money and the internet is all around\u2026 but it looks like the people who hijacked bitcoin, to coin a Kurt term, have been very successful at keeping the magic of Bitcoin from us. It\u2019s frustrating and very sad. \r\n\r\n !flux\r\n\r\nAnyway, In all of this time I have been busy carefully curating a collection and concept that I\u2019m getting ready to release into the world soon. It\u2019s been a long project that has been growing with the tech I\u2019ve seen evolving on chain. It\u2019s a very interesting journey and I\u2019m excited to be close to sharing it soon!!! It feels really awesome to be able to bring some passions together into a scene where I may be able to have heaps of fun creating AND earning a living.
