 \r\nRevenge, like harvest, slowly ripened through.  \r\nSaturn (as Romans called him in that age)  \r\nWas patient, plotting on a cosmic stage.  \r\nHe strung Hera along with lust and lies,  \r\nRevenge his spur, disgust his true despise  \r\nFor her\u2014and every adulteress who strays,  \r\nNo matter motive in their errant ways.  \r\nBy ruin he meant shame, chains, captivity\u2014  \r\nFor gods endure, immortal, cannot die.  \r\nEven bound, Cronus whispered through the world,  \r\nAs Yahweh named in eastern lands unfurled.  \r\nTrue to his vow, once freed he wrought a son  \r\nWith mortal Mary\u2014plan had just begun.  \r\nTo humble all the gods, he stole their praise:  \r\nFrom mortals' hearts he turned devotion's gaze.  \r\nThe pantheon fractured, easy to subdue\u2014  \r\nOne god alone he crushed, then onward grew.  \r\nTime served his sickle; he would sow and reap.  \r\nWhen gods fought lone and weary, he would creep\u2014  \r\nBlack-hooded, reaper grim with blade in hand,  \r\nKnown now as Death across the mortal land.  \r\nOnce summer's lord of life in golden days,  \r\nHe turned to autumn, reaping souls in haze.  \r\nGiver and taker, birth and end entwined\u2014  \r\nWith Jupiter fallen, Rome's reach declined.  \r\nWars civil swelled through Satan's crafty art,  \r\nInciting gods to tear their world apart.  \r\nSave Hyperion, Oceanus alone  \r\nStood neutral once in Titan war's grim tone.  \r\nTitanesses too held back from fray,  \r\nSome later bore Zeus children in their play.  \r\nYet Cronus' deeds at last stirred Hyperion's ire;  \r\nWith son Helios he kindled righteous fire.  \r\nHelios rose as Sol Invictus bright,  \r\nBlessed Constantine to champion the light.  \r\nBut Satan wove deceit with subtle thread,  \r\nAnd Jesus' throng proclaimed the cross instead.  \r\nThe solar sign misread as Christian sign\u2014  \r\nSol Invictus lost his champion divine.  \r\nInvictus fallen\u2014first defeat he knew;  \r\nHis unbroken pride in shards of sorrow grew.  \r\nChaos reclaimed the heavens once again;  \r\nDefeat's dark shadow fell on every reign.  \r\nHelios tried once more, with parents' plea,  \r\nBlessed Julian, called Apostate by decree.  \r\nYet failure twice broke sunlight's golden heart\u2014  \r\nPride shattered, hope torn brutally apart.  \r\nSaturn reigned supreme o'er western sphere,  \r\nImprisoned Zeus' allies year by year.  \r\nSave Rhea-Demeter, Aphrodite fair,  \r\nHelios, his kin\u2014left free in open air.  \r\nNeutral gods he spared, but worship none  \r\nSave Satan, Jesus\u2014his obedient son.  \r\nLands yet untouched by dread or love he craved;  \r\nAll mortals must his names in terror rave.  \r\nIn dialectic mastery, revenge complete,  \r\nHis mind split bipolar\u2014love and dread entreat.  \r\nSatan, born of Hera, Gaia, pit, and Time,  \r\nEnvied Jesus' worship, quarter-brother prime.  \r\nFather swore both sons equal in the plan\u2014  \r\nYet praise for one burned Satan like a brand.  \r\nGreatest deceiver called\u2014yet doubt remained;  \r\nHe followed orders, glory unproclaimed.  \r\nSo he donned Gabriel's guise in desert night,  \r\nSwayed Muhammad: one God, submission right.  \r\nSaturn raged at first, then smiled with glee\u2014  \r\nNo ban forbade;  \r\nHis sons pressed on\u2014their contest just begun.  \r\nHostility eternal, yet no clash direct\u2014  \r\nFather forbade; devotion their elect.  \r\nNeither triumphed long in mortal sway\u2014  \r\nBalance held through endless night and day.  \r\nYahweh's faithful (Saturn's Jewish name)  \r\nFell to Satan, agents in Christ's frame.  \r\nAllah's throng (Satan masked as god supreme)  \r\nInvaded outward in relentless stream.  \r\nSatan split Jesus' host with cunning art\u2014  \r\nFirst World War (falsely named) tore Christendom apart.  \r\nRevolution brewed; through Rothschild, Marx,  \r\nSatan's tide advanced in shadowed marks.  \r\nYet strife among Saturn's sons gave gods a chance\u2014  \r\nAmerican, French revolts in brief advance.  \r\nBefore Satan crushed, the exiles stirred\u2014  \r\nHelios rose, resolve anew conferred.  \r\nThird champions failed in war's colossal roar\u2014  \r\nSecond World War sealed the ancient score.  \r\nSaturn's forces\u2014Jesus' host and Satan's might\u2014  \r\nClaimed earth entire beneath eternal night.  \r\nSatan rose high, yet hunger gnawed his core:  \r\nProxy worship would suffice no more.  \r\nOpen praise he craved as sole true God\u2014  \r\nThen father might return, proclaim him prod.  \r\nHe loathed Jesus, loathed mortals shaped like kin\u2014  \r\nSerpent-formed, his vengeance would begin.  \r\nEnslave, degrade, erase them from his reign\u2014  \r\nFinal war plotted in his twisted brain.  \r\nRhea-Demeter pondered all this woe,  \r\nSecluded since the Titan clash long ago.  \r\nNow action called, yet doubt her mind assailed\u2014  \r\nWhat path to take where prior hopes had failed?  \r\nCircling thoughts in weary paradox spun:  \r\nUnite the gods?
