  "map_content": "What the guy from the green arrays video probably means is, that a forth programer wants to solve a problem as efficient and simple as possible.  \r\nBut mining is a cryptographic exercise, which can't be solved.  You can only put hashpower behind it.  But if you ever find a shortcut for the sha256 hashing algorithm you have broken the cryptography, which so far seems impossible.  \r\nHe essentially wants to invest his time on problems/projects which can be solved.  Cryptocurrency mining isn't such a problem, since it is based on doing repeated random guessing.  And this has been \"solved\" by ASIC miners.  Now it is just a typical earn money, spend it on better ASIC development, earn even more money, develope even better ASIC infity cycle.  \r\n\r\nI agree, there isn't much information out there about plan9 and its forks (9front and inferno).  And they guy in the video is probably correct, that it will never go mainstream.  \r\nHowever, similar to forth, plan9 triggered something and I can't let go^^. He inspired me quite a bit, especially with regards to bitcoin.
